Paloma School District Teacher, Josie McClain, was named as a top four finalist for the 2nd Annual Gold Star Teacher of the Year Award at the Get Your Teach On National Conference in Orlando, Florida. She was spotlighted as an educator who has made a difference by going above and beyond in the classroom to support her students. Josie McClain has been a second grade teacher in Paloma since 2019. Congratulations to Mrs. McClain!!!!

Seeking: Bilingual One-on-one Paraprofessional:
Paloma ESD is looking for a patient and kind bilingual paraprofessional to work with a special needs child. The position would require the paraprofessional to assist a child during class and throughout the day under the direction of a highly qualified teacher. The position would begin the week of July 25th for required training. Pay starts at $13.05/hour.
The position requires:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
A Level 1 IVP fingerprint clearance card OR the ability to obtain one
